About

The public art installation ΛV (Lambda V) connects travelers through playful, interactive light. Located at Vianen's bus station, it achieves maximum interaction with minimal means.
ΛV responds to the presence, position, and movement of pedestrians, creating evolving light patterns. These light patterns not only move alongside the travelers but also create visual connections between them.
ΛV features seventy-six unique glass objects, each paired with a spotlight. Embedded into the sloped embankment of the underpass, these objects align with existing tile patterns, using surface variations to further enhance their light bending properties.
With a minimal setup of materialization and light, ΛV enhances safety and transforms the space into an engaging, shared experience.
