About

The Bijlmer Moodwall is a 24 metre long interactive light installation located in a pedestrian tunnel in Amsterdam. It interacts with people passing by, improving the atmosphere in the tunnel and making people feel happier and safer.
The Bijlmer Moodwall interactive urban wallpaper is made from 2500 LEDs behind a ribbed semi-transparent wall. The curves in the wall make it less vulnerable to graffiti and improve visibility.
The Bijlmer Moodwall won the 2009 Dutch Design Award for best project in public space.
In 2013 the content and technology of the installation were revised by Matthias Oostrik. Since then he creates a new light composition every year.
